After the entire cleanup is completed, test the fan. This protects you from being blamed for problems that may arise in the near future and if there is something wrong it also gives you the opportunity to make it right. Record that the fan was tested and that it operated properly on your invoice so the customer can see you checked everything. Many companies apply a sticker to the hood recording when it was cleaned. The sticker should also provide your company name and phone number, as well as the next recommended cleaning date.
